Your cooling system keeps the engine at the right temperature, and it also runs your heater. Coolant flows through the engine, radiator and hoses, pushed by the water pump and controlled by the thermostat. A leak or a failed part can overheat an engine in minutes.
Signs it's time
- Temperature gauge running high, or an overheating warning
- Green, orange or pink puddles under the vehicle
- Sweet smell or steam from under the hood
- Weak heat or no heat in the cab
- You keep having to top up coolant
What we do
- Pressure test to find leaks
- Replace radiators, water pumps, thermostats and hoses
- Coolant flush and refill with the correct type
- Check the fans, radiator cap and freeze protection
Coolant also keeps your engine from freezing. Weak coolant can freeze in a cold snap and crack the radiator or engine block. We can test how cold it is good to — have it checked before winter.
