Diesel work takes more than a code reader. We know Cummins, Duramax and Power Stroke engines inside and out, and we handle everything from a hard start or a DPF warning to head studs and a full rebuild. Newer diesels also have emissions systems — the diesel particulate filter (DPF), EGR and DEF — and we diagnose and repair those properly instead of guessing.
Engines we know
- Cummins5.9L 12-valve and 24-valve, 6.7L
- Duramaxevery generation, LB7 to L5P
- Power Stroke7.3L, 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L
Signs it's time
- Hard starting, especially in the cold
- Black, white or blue smoke
- Loss of power, or the truck goes into limp mode
- DEF, DPF or emissions warning on the dash
- Coolant loss or overheating under load
- Fuel in the oil, rough idle or knocking
What we do
- Computer diagnostics for engine, fuel and emissions faults
- Injectors: testing, diagnosis and replacement
- Turbochargers: diagnosis, repair and replacement
- Head gaskets and head studs
- EGR coolers and EGR valves
- High-pressure fuel pumps, including CP4 failures
- Emissions system repair: DPF, DEF and EGR
- Complete engine rebuilds
- Fuel filters, water separators and diesel oil changes
- Glow plugs and block heaters before winter
Why bring it to us
- Diesels are a big part of our work every day, not a side job
- We know the common failures on each engine, so we find the problem faster
- From a sensor to a complete rebuild, it all gets done under one roof
- We call you with an estimate before any work starts
Lots of short trips don't give the particulate filter a chance to clean itself out. Get on the highway for 20 minutes or more now and then, and don't ignore a DPF warning — a plugged filter costs far more to fix than a cleaning cycle.
